Our day-to-day work focuses a lot on the e-commerce side of our business, but it’s always important to refresh in our minds (and yours) our motivation behind it all. Driven by our appreciation for the fashion industry, we’re here to tell the story of brands and present the craftsmanship of their products. This goes beyond profits and ROI.
Fashion Week is therefore a bi-seasonal opportunity to engage with industry people, find opportunities and keep powering the stories of fashion.
Paris
First up this season was a cold and wintery Paris, but that didn’t stop the masses coming from all over the world to visit.
We've networked with industry people, visited several private showrooms from both upcoming and established brands, and a highlight was the impressive multi-brand showroom of Welcome Editions. Dinner spots never disappoint in this city – great for catching up with clients, prospects and friends.
Copenhagen
Onto Copenhagen; Denmark’s capital and the (unofficial) fashion capital of Scandinavia. In line with their coveted trademark minimalist aesthetic, the brands we saw portrayed clean shapes, quality designs, and neutral tones as well as some surprising elements playing with texture. Copenhagen Fashion Week mostly takes place at CIFF (Copenhagen International Fashion Fair), a well-organised fair where the venue hosts multiple halls with different types of brands; from contemporary to luxury.
London
Final stop on the Fashion Week tour was London. Unlike Paris and Copenhagen, the events, brands and showrooms are dotted around this vast city so you really have to know what you’re looking for. We used this visit to catch up with our diverse range of clients and prospects we’d met in the past, and got to enjoy London after working hours as well…
Experiences like Fashion Week immerse us into the relevant happenings and trends to be aware of for upcoming seasons so we can apply this to our clients through our unique e-commerce strategies.
It’s always a pleasure being surrounded by the brands and the people behind them – we’re already looking forward to June!
